🍂 Seasonal Note: September to November Travel
- Unstable Weather: Even though the heavy monsoon rains ease by late September, the sea is still choppy at times. Ferries (especially ITT Majestic) can more likely to face delays or cancellations.
- Morning Sailings are Safer: If you’re traveling during this period, always prefer the morning ferries (before 12:00 Noon).
- Flight Connections: If your return flight is booked during these months, keep at least a 5–6 hour buffer or, ideally, sail a day earlier to Port Blair to avoid last-minute stress.
- Government Ferries: DSS ferries generally continue to run, but seats are limited and priority is given to locals. Tourists should rely more on private ferries and book well in advance.
