The Cellular Jail, also known as Kala Pani, is a must-visit attraction in Port Blair. It is a historic prison that was used to imprison Indian freedom fighters during the colonial era. The jail now serves as a national monument and a museum that showcases the struggles of Indian freedom fighters. The Chatham Saw Mill was built by the Britishers in 1883 and was then the largest sawmill of entire Asia. Also, this was made on a separate island of Chatham under which the name was given to this mill. This island was later connected by a bridge from Port Blair.
Tourists will get see a lot of woodwork and carpentry done here with various wood including the famous paddock. It’s also impressive to see the wooden structures inside, which are still standing strong and used as offices for many other govt. works inside the mill.
The environment here is also very clean and intact. The machines here are still in use showing how robust & reliable the machinery is. From towering saw machines to intricate woodwork tools, every corner of the mill exudes a sense of history and craftsmanship. A beautiful temple located by the seashore of Aberdeen Bazaar. This structure has been crafted like old stoned temples. Its grand entrance makes it visible from far away and makes your senses fall in the awe of devotion. The craftsmanship is very similar to many great temples of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka

Another religious spot in Port Blair for travelers to explore. This amazingly constructed Jain Temple at the top of a hill offers a great view of the ocean and greenery of Port Blair.
